Share Favorite Folders Across Staff

Printed resource guides were once the go-to solution to quickly see what programs and resources were available in a certain area. However, in the ever-changing world of social services, resource guides quickly become outdated and the list, though comprehensive, does not include a way for staff to share which programs they like (or don’t like).

Aunt Bertha has a solution – Shared Favorite Folders!

Important Note: Aunt Bertha must add folder sharing to your account--simply email community@auntbertha.com and we’ll work with you to get started.

 

Overview

When logged into Aunt Bertha, you can create “Favorite” folders and share them among your staff. Once a Favorites folder is shared with a group, anyone can add their preferred programs. Since Aunt Bertha updates all listings every six months, the information is always up to date!

 

Favorite a Program

Save programs to the Favorites section for easy reference later. Click “Add to Favorites” and create a new folder or pick an existing folder. See a step-by-step guide here.

 

View Favorites

  1. View the programs you have saved under My Favorites 
  2. Then select the folder you'd like to view on the left side of the screen

 

Share Favorite Folders Across Staff

Send a Favorite Folder as an Email

This is an easy way to share programs with other staff members. Recipients will receive an email with individual links to each of the programs in your Favorite Folder.

  1. Log in
  2. View your Favorite folders by clicking "My Favorites" at the top of the screen
  3. Select your Favorite folder on the left that you want to share
  4. Click the "Share" button on the right hand side of your screen 
  5. Select "Send an Email" 
  6. Enter your name, the email of the person you want to share the folder with, and a message
  7. Click "Send"
  8. The email recipient will receive links to each of the programs in your Favorite Folder

 

Share a Favorite Folder With a Link

This is an easy way to share programs with other staff members. Recipients who click on the link will be able to access all the programs in your Favorite Folder (without being able to edit it). You can also share this link on your agency's website, Facebook page, or send as an email or text. 

  1. Log in
  2. View your Favorite folders by clicking "My Favorites" at the top of the screen
  3. Select your Favorite folder on the left that you want to share
  4. Click the "Share" button on the right hand side of your screen 
  5. Select "Share as a Link" 
  6. Click the box for "Generate my link," then copy the unique link displayed 
  7. Send this link to your team members, or you can paste this link on your agency's website, Facebook page, or send as an email or text -- these are just a few ideas.

 

Share a Favorite Folder With a Group

You can share you favorite folders with fellow staff for ongoing collaboration. Once a folder is shared, anyone in your group can add their favorite programs as well. This creates a curated list of your favorite programs across your staff.

  1. Log in
  2. View your Favorite folders by clicking "My Favorites" at the top of the screen
  3. Select your Favorite folder on the left that you want to share
  4. Click the "Share" button on the right hand side of your screen 
  5. Select "Share with a Group" 
  6. Select the group with which you want to share from the dropdown menu
  7. Click "Send"
  8. This folder will now appear under "Shared Folders" on the left navigation
  9. Once you share this folder, other members of your group can add their favorite programs to that folder or remove existing programs from that folder.

*Note: To use the Group Share feature, you must set up your groups first. Email community@auntbertha.com and let them know you're interested in creating a new group.*
